NEXUS provides innovative policy and planning solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. We provide technical advice and policy recommendations for the adoption of climate friendly technologies across sectors.  This advice relates to climate adaptive methods to advance efficiencies in the marine renewable energy and marine resource harvesting sectors that address local and global climate issues. NEXUS also works with coastal communities to prepare climate change adaptation strategies that address their biophysical, fiscal, and socio-cultural realities.

Originating from a marine affairs academic program NEXUS has continued to provide expert instruction and communication on matters related to climate resilient technologies and marine management strategies, through the following:

• Promote climate literacy amongst coastal communities through the use of effective communication tools, such as infographics and clear language reports.
• Develop curriculum and course delivery for academic institutions, coastal communities, and government agencies.
• Apply innovative approaches to engagement and consultation to promote collaborative decision-making amongst diverse user groups and disciplines to advance climate change solutions.
