Recent years have seen a shift in Environmental Assessments toward a broader environmental, health, social and economic impact assessment.  NEXUS has conducted Impact Assessments based on a 360° approach to understand and identify effective mitigation measures and ensure benefits to local communities. Our Team assists governments and industry stakeholders in undertaking Impact Assessments in a manner that promotes environmental and social benefits under dynamic economic circumstances. This work has included:

• Integration of traditional knowledge in Impact Assessments;
• Research on means to quantify social, cultural, and economic impacts of development projects;
• Review of Environmental Impact Assessments from a local and community perspective;
• Review of project objectives in relation to Impact Assessments; and,
• Advance stakeholder and proponent relations to build common project visions.
